Went and picked up my US hops from Martin late last week, was let in the door and as he pointed at the hops I almost bolted straight for them, opening the centennial and taking a big whiff :o)
Then I looked up and saw his wife looking at me strangely saying they may have to put up "opening hours" on their front door :o) bahaha
You dont have your own freezer yet? Ive got my own one and even im starting to run out of room, I couldnt imagine actually having to share my space with food?!?! :o) haha.. Does your fermentation fridge not have a freezer space?
Thats a bit of a bummer, thats where I scored my freezer space on my ferm fridge, allthough if it didnt have it id be able to fit a fermenter and not just a cube...
At least youve got freezer space tho and dont have to store them on the shelf or in the cupboard :o)
Semi disaster last night :o( Made up my coopers kit to 10 litres and then without thinking pitched the smack pack, then thought... Better check the temp... 32*c Fuck! Couple of litres of cold water and some ice cubes quickly brought it down to 28*c and then chucked in an ice bath to bring down to 18*c over an hour or so...
Woke up this morning and nothings happened yet, allthough hopefully theres still hope for the lil suckers? The volume is more like 12-13litres now so there no doubt would be some lag time anyways...
Oh yeah sorry bro, got your text when I was at the casino, couldn't reply at the time and then totally forgot.
"No phone at table!!!!!"
Did you pitch the smack into a starter at 32? Should be fine, just crank it up again for another round, yeast will ferment that high it's just not that good for them, I usually aim for about 22 - 24C for starters.
