I think those are the ones I got, from "Kenny Beverages" in chch. They are indeed rough but they work... They also have s/s disconnects selling for $15 a piece and some dispensing gear. The main annoyance is that the connector valves (or what ever they are called) are not all the same, I am using a few different disconnects (both gas and beer) to run the 6 kegs I have going at the moment.... If you get a few they'll drop the price to $60 plus freight.
They dont look all that bad, good price too! Are they not standard corny fittings tho?
I don't know whats going on, the fittings all look the same but I have to switch my disconnects around all the time, bloody annoying.
60 bucks ain't so bad...I'd rather buy the real deal though. What have they been used for? and do they have pressure release valves? They look to me like they don't.
Used for soft drinks, coke-syrup and stuff. They do have pressure release valves.
When I lived in the UK, I bought my Corniesfrom two places, one supplier in the UK who was all right-ish and one in Germany who was great. Shipped within a day. http://www.novanorm.net/ec-shop/index.html
I spoke to him before leaving and he's happy to ship to NZ. 35 Euros a keg is about 75 bucks. You've got shipping on top, but you're buying a really nice keg there. Might be worthwhile clubbing together with some friends and getting some (not me, I'm fully stocked!)
Just checked that out and it looks like a pretty good option all things considered - could get four kegs and their connectors for around NZ$450 including delivery.
hi, a mate of mine got 10 between us and they are all good, and it only cost $40.00 for freight for the lot
they have got lots of them ,the kegs were made in nz if you need any parts for them they a firestone keg ,parts from http://beverageequipmentco.com/index.html
Donald, I got one of these types of kegs ages ago. What struck me was that the in and out ball lock valves have a male fitting on the bottom rather than a female fitting, which I had never seen. I ordered new Firestone valves from Northern Brewer and the ones they sent are female. What do you have on your kegs and have you had to replace any?
Hi there, any of these left?
I would say there are a few Adrain, however you should try Steve at Hallertau in AKL if you are after corney kegs, it would probably be cheaper on the freight too!
