I'm a real swings & roundabouts with Milds. Often I bemoan their lack of hops, other times I love their richness and quaffability.
At the moment I'm in a mild mood and now I'm in between a rock & a hard place.
Mild #1 is about to run out - damn it - and it's tasting it's best !
But Mild #2 is kegged and ready to pop in the fridge and I can't wait ... think I'll have to start pouring from it flat at garage temps
True, but it's just badly balanced to pour a good pint.
The keg of Pukie I went out after 2 pints tonight and Pukie II is on, partially carbed, a bit warm and very frothy.
The xtra crystal is noticible, but not too significant, very good really, it's upped the body a bit. I'd upped the hops slightly too but that's not noticible at this stage.
Various Aussie craft beers - im still over there till saturday, will probably blog all of my tasting notes cos theres a few, some really good and some absolutely terrible :oP lol
QLD case swap was great, some awesome beers, its good to know that the aussies dont skimp on quality in the home brew scene... Watch my blog space for updates over the weekend :o)
