Well, seeing as now everyone should have all their CS5 beers on hand, and me having been lucky enough to have tried them all, I thought that now is just as good a time as any to put up the 'mad props' thread

I just wanna say that I this thing just keeps getting better and better, and this time the bar really was set damn high!! Making it extremely difficult to pick my faves as each and every one was amazing!! In fact I didnt have one beer I didnt really fancy, we are all brewing some great beers and should be proud!!

My top 2, in no particular order go to....

Haish for his Bitter, such a delicate perfectly balanced, well brewed beer! I could seriously have kegs and kegs of this around my place and would never get sick of it, to me its the perfect thirst quencher with enough flavour to make you feel like youre still having a beer!!

Studio1 for his IPA, pungent, resinous hop aroma, good bitterness but balanced, an all round wicked example of my favourite style of beer!

And lastly thanks to everyone else who put in your awesome beers :o) Untill next time eh? lol

Not having been involved in previous swaps I don't have a benchmark to compare this round to, but I don't think there was a dud beer in the bunch for me. There were beers that didn't suit my tastes completely, and some that had flaws, but definitely nothing 'bad'.

My favourite from the swap was Dale's NZPA - well brewed, and something that was right in the sweet spot for me as far as matching what I like brewing/drinking anyway. Outstanding. Honourable mentions to Studio1 and Haish as Rev said - both terrific examples that were just edged by Dale for the reasons above.

Count me in for the next one Rev, I'll definitely be keen.
jeez - I've only had a few from the swap so far...too much stock on hand (like 42L of bitter on handpump that is in danger of getting 'oxidised' and MUST be drunk haha!) and prob 18 or so craft beers on hand. MUST>>>>DRINK>>>MORE>>> lol.

Cheers for the props T
I loved Haishes bitter, like alot but also Martins beer, I must say though all I can remember was that it was very saline like, and didnt get much else to tell you the honest truth which is a good thing, but after 2-3 Case swap beers who can?
Any more mad props for CS5?
Man I haven't even got through half of mine, but so far Studio1 is the standout for me.
Youre obviously not drinking enough then Dale ;o) haha I finished all mine over a week ago, was too hard to keep away from the amazing beers this time round!!
haha I do have an excuse, 4 wisdom teeth out.
Ouch bro, say no more!!
First case swap for me, very enjoyable with a good mix of beers to work through. I thought they were all well brewed, no major faults in any of the beers, quality stuff fellas.

Here's my top 3:

Gold: Haish's Ordinary Bitter - Excellent beer, nicely balanced, flavoursome, easy drinking bitter, loved it.
Silver: James P's Bitter Pils - Really good flavour and aroma in this beer. A thirst quencher I could drink a lot of.
Bronze: Barry's Southern English Brown - Another well brewed and balanced beer. Inspired me to give the English Brown style another go myself.

Thanks to everyone who's given their feedback on my beer, really appreciate it.

Cheers
As I work my way through the last beer of this Case Swap it's time to reflect. Excellent set of beers, not a duff one amongst them. A few stood out for me, but every beer I tasted had it's good points. Anyway, the ones that stick in my head:

Haish's Bitter - everything a good bitter should be, and the recipe is locked and loaded into Beersmith for me to brew next time I do an Ordinary.

Vdog's Hobs of Hell - I love me a good Porter and this was up there with some of the best I've tasted.

Simon's Imperial Bitter - which was really an ESB, and was another excellent beer.

James P's Bitter Pils - the crossover Pale Ale/Pils has finished the case swap in some style for me.

I really appreciated the opportunity to throw my experimental beer out there and I'm really grateful for all the feedback.

Cheers!
