On a similar subject, is there any need to fine or cool a wheat beer before kegging? It's finished and rested in primary (10 days or so all up), my thinking was it wouldn't need fining as it's a hefe.
Since im feeling at home off work sick I thought I better come up with a an Imperial or Double IPA to brew next,
Apocalypse Double IPA
60% Pils
20% Munich
4% Caramalt
6% Dextrose
65Degree Mash
80Ibu Simcoe @ 60
80Ibu Simcoe @ 20
50g Amarillo 50g Cascade @ 15
50g Centennial 50g Simcoe @ 10
50g Simcoe 50g Amarillo 30g Centennial @ 0
Dryhop 1 after 4 days 50g Simcoe and 30g Amarillo for 5 days than Crash cooled and fined overnight than racked to the dryhopper with 30g Simcoe 30g Amarillo and 30g Centennial close the lid so it forms some top pressure for 5-7 Days. Cooled than racked to keg.
Yeah hopefully it should be good!! Im trying to get rid of my US hops so I can get some 2009 models and 2010 Aotearoa Hops, Cant wait to do an NZ Imperial IPA might be a beefed up version of the NZIPA I done which I reacon is still the best one I have done or a Imperial Training Wheels
I dont think anyone apart from Tony has used Pacman yet Glen, allthough everyone seems to have acquired it recently... Ive read good things on the AHB site...
