Win your favourite homebrew back

I'm in need of some inspiration with my brewing, so I have come up with a fun idea: a homebrew competition.

Send me a bottle of your favourite homebrew/s. I'll pick my favourite beer, and the winner gets his recipe back as ingredients i.e. the malt and hops or equivalent substitute that went into making the batch. AND I will include your recipe as a kit on libertybrewing (with your permission of course)

It doesn't matter what style it is - I'll pick my favourite beer.

Best of all - your entry is FREE!!!!!

Im not too good with carbonation myself, but what i do is just turn the pressure down to a dribble and run it down the side of the bottle from the picnic tap...

I'm slowly getting better at bottling from picnic taps. Getting the beer very cold (around 1deg) and serving with the smallest amount of pressure you can seems to help.

Also helps when the bottle is at the temperature of the beer or colder.

I want to give this a try, but I broke my ankle and am in a cast and not allowed to put any weight on that leg. Makes for a difficult brew day.

Massive appologies to the WellyBC. I had to work on the Sunday... managed to get away early to find out that my flight had been cancelled due to bad weather. The good news however - I have $260 worth of flights in credit with AirNZ. I should be ale to make the next one. Fuck knows what I'm gonna do with all this dry stout in my fridge though!

Which brings me to my second point... Again - to those who brought along their entries for this competition: I appologise.

Howd you manage that you cheeky bugger? I had a trip ruined cos of weather and cancelled flights but Air NZ said they werent gonna hook us up with anything cos they cant control the weather :o( I feel outraged!!

I just rang them up and told them that they cost me thousands and thousands of potential loss of income. They said I can get the next available flight - and I told them to fuck off, because my meeting was at 2pm or whatever. They said that crediting my flight was the best they could offer.

And I know my entry has not arrived, you might be lucky to get some Rye Dubbel Saison in time, but youll have to sit on it for a few months :oP lol

Tbh - I have been resorting to my cellared beers the last couple of weeks cos I havnt had any beer on tap :o( Im almost disappointed in myself, but I havnt had to go to the store yet... haha
