Ok, so What Are You Brewing was a hotty, as topics go.

Now I'm 15 pints into a keg I only filled on Tuesday and wondering if anyone else has a favourite at the moment ?

It's my second brown with US-Oh05 and it's better than the forst, maybe Ikept the temps down a bit during the scorcher we had in januray

Hmmm, could be some interesting reading in there somewhere. Maybe I am meat sensitive. I think I'll leave that off my CV though, wouldn't want to give anyone the wrong impression ;-)
heard of people picking this up in Smokni' Bishop - maybe it's somehow related to manuka. Or the butcher that Steve gets his malt smoked at ;-)
Well im looking forward to starting my night, went to liquor land with the intention of a 4 pack each of epic pa and lager, but was horrified when I saw they had no epic pa :o( So i went with the lager and 2 emersons pilsners and after grumbling at the counter that they had run out, a 4 pack was soon handed to me from out the back :o) Mean!!
So did you buy the Epic Lager, Emerson's and the Epic Pale Ale? Sounds like a crafty sales technique to me, and you fell for it hook line and sinker. It not like you can buy too much good beer though.

I have some EPA, CB (Cherry Brew) APA, CB Stout, Green Man IPA, Moa St Joseph, Boysenbeery and a bottle of red in my line up.

Cheers
Twisted Hop Sauvin Pils from the bottle to start the night as an evaluation. To be followed up in an hour or two with a bottle of Boysenberry to be shared with a friend, then some Mussel Inn Golden Goose Lager from the and then a few pints of whatever is on tap at Poms. I'm hoping the Nerdherder sneaks on early, otherwise it'll a permutation of some of the following selection; Emersons BR Maris Gold, ReWired Brown, Epic PA, Three Boys Golden.

Should be fun and to all a good night
Starting the night with the bottle of Hallertau Porter Noir that's been in my fridge for a few months.

I was starting to think this beer might be getting overhyped so I wasn't setting my expectations too high as I'm seem to be easily let down with beers. How wrong I was.

Amazing.

Reminds me of Rodenbach on the nose, massive cherry and dark fruity esters dominate everything else. Some barnyard character in the mouth that slips into a little tannic bitterness (oak or pinot noir? I dunno it's good).

This is great, on par with the few sours and funky beers I've had from Belgium.

For the rest of the night? I dunno. Got some blonde ale and IPA on tap, a couple bottles of Nerdherder, bottle of Thomas Hardys 08, bottle of Fuller's 1845 and golden pride in the fridge. Will end up in town by the end of the night so will probably turn in to shit from there on, oh well, got the rest of 2010 to recover.
Started the night off with a cracker of a beer, JamesP's CS4 pils. Wowamundo, I am struggling to find the words to describe how much I liked this beer. One of the best I've had this year and one of the best homebrewed beers I've ever had. Amazing.
What have you been smoking Bazza? :) (I think I'm blushing!)
I've been working my way through my homebrew (Oh to Be In England! on handpump, plus PacificAle) but I have my eye on a bottle of Rogue Double Dead Guy for the witching hour.

Talking of witches, a beautiful full moon out there tonight.
yes nice full moon, just cracked a adnams broadside, like christmas pudding. La chouffe to follow
I called by Michaels place this arvo to pick up the mill and he kindly dropped a couple of beers in my hands.

First was a bottle of his first grain beer, that he apologised in advance for the bitterness, which I tried tonight.

I'd dropped it in the fridge when I got home and eventually opened it. It was cool enough to hide the afore mentioned bitterness and the malt was good. Poured nice & clear, straw colour. Good beer, wish my first grain beer was this clean.
Second glass was warmer and the bitterness came through. Not badly, some people just like'm bitter anyway.

Cheers chap, I'll try the other tomorrow
I had Michaels American Ale yesterday, It's a pretty good drop.

Last night started with homebrew. Ours, then:
Stu's Eis Motueka
Townshend Cathcarts NTA. Thought it was a brilliant Belgian Blonde until I checked the webby and saw it listed as a classic English golden ale... I'm a tad confused.
Firestone Union Jack (quickly made it's way onto my memorable beer list!)
His Majesty for the finale' of 2009. O for Awesome. It was superb!
Epic Mayhem today. I kept thinking about Nerdherder D as I was drinking it. I just wanted a bit more bitterness...
