Now I'm 15 pints into a keg I only filled on Tuesday and wondering if anyone else has a favourite at the moment ?

It's my second brown with US-Oh05 and it's better than the forst, maybe Ikept the temps down a bit during the scorcher we had in januray

Tuatara Ardennes from Regional for me too tonight :O Plus Emerson's Gallifrey Pale Ale.
Haven't tried the Emerson's latest yet but heard good things on the street last night.
Galbraiths- Salisbury Plains Ale. A beautiful example of an English ale. Amber in colour, with a smooth but distinctive bitterness. Toffee, crystal malt character, with a smooth palate. Very easy to drink and well worth another. 5.4%, the brief sheet provided at the bar, stated that the special malts are grown on the chalky plains and are a 'special' selection. It went on to say that fans of Bob hudson's and Bitter and Twisted, would not be disappointed and I tend to agree, given that they are 2 of my other favourite Galbraiths beers.
Sat, a joking dubbel, I was seriously enjoying this only to find that my wife swiftly finished half of it whilst I was called away to the phone, very full, caramelly and warming. Then another crack at the Naked Poppy. It had changed over the last few weeks, The hops more assertive, the bitterness was both towering above me and abyssal below. I was reduced to a wreck over the space of 30min. I was sat in a chair in front of the wood stove with my pipe and slippers and turned every now and again when one side got to warm. Mother natures LSD.

Wound down Sun following a day in Welly and the inevitable trip to Regionals with an emersons dunkelweiss and an Orval, should have bought more...
Had an Orval at Bar Edward on Saturday. Everytime I drink it, which is a fair bit, I think I should drink more of it. Someone once said to me it was "sweaty horse balls". If this is true then I'm heading out to the Kaimanawas to get some extract...
Friday and saturday night drinking my Irish Red by the pint glass, which I believe is how it needs to be drunk! I dont really enjoy it untill im about half way through the glass and then the malt flavours really come out.. Its got a red hue, but id say its more cola like than red... The first couple of weeks I wasnt a fan of this, but the malts fattened out and the roast barley has become a bit more subtle, slightly astringent dry finish but its ok and leaves the mouth wanting more... Surprisingly not that much esters either even tho the 1469 fermented at 24*c lol
Been trying a couple more from my US order from Beerstore:

Firestone Walker Double Barrel Ale - now this is NICE! Excellent body, touch of oak fattens it out nicely but there's still some citrussy hop to keep it balanced. I could drink a LOT of this.

Russian River Blind Pig IPA - not as big as Pliny but way more drinkable. Almost sessionable! Tons of hop, but a little lighter and hence more apporachable.

Also been supping from my apparently-bottomless keg of Donkey Oatie oatmeal stout. Every pint I expect it to blow, but it just keeps going. Really liking this beer. Dark fruits & dark chocolate but smooth as silk. If my last porter was Beyonce in a glass (as described by my work colleagues), this is more Halle Berry.
PKB is more Grace Jones.
So are we going to get more than 1 keg in AKL this time Stu??
You'll have to have Galbraith's and/or Hallertau up about that... our only two options really.

I'm going to catch up with Steve Baker about getting PKB and his SOBA award winning (Bring Your Daughter to The Porter... ) released on tap on the same night here in Wellington. Maybe Hallertau could do the same for you fellas. will talk to Steve B anyway, and see what comes of it.

It'd be nice to have Pot Kettle Black on tap with a beer that is even harder to order after a few pints...
Who makes Bring Your Daughter to The Porter? Sounds intriguing.
