Nah just pitched the smackpack straight into the wort at 32 cos it was from Tony and fresh as so figured ill skip the starter seeing as my 10litre coopers kit is my starter - if that makes sense?
I went home at lunch and nothings happening, its sitting at 18*c now, should I try bring it up till it starts fermenting then bring down to 10/12*c?
Yeah mate, whatever doesnt kill ya makes ya stronger - reckon that mentality works with yeast too? Give it a good flogging before letting it unleash on my doppelbock :-/ hahaha
Nice Ive got to many big beers in the fridge I have the ordinary but it just dosnt float my boat!! I think I dont like suttle beers anymore! Damn it!! oh apart from Bookie!! But that aint really an ordinary bitter!! and 14L of my robust porter got drunk on the weekend so only got 2L left!!
Bookbinder just ain't the beer it used to be for me... it used to be my go to beer everywhere I went. It can still be really good but it used to be that good on a bad day and un-friggin'-believable every other day. Bring the UK pale malt back to Bookie! Leave the NZ malt for the bigger beers.
I know this is sacrilige. It's like saying fat Freddy's Drop are boring, or Flight of the Conchords doesn't make me smile. But I have told 'Old Dick' himself. We agree to disagree.
