Umm Yeah? Get them to part with some Centenial also!!
I reckon it would be same deal, around $100 per kilo and minimum 5 kilos, should we try do a realbeer mega bulk buy?
Give Liberty brewing a huge Nudge!!!!!!!!!!
Actually, you reminded me, didnt Stu mention he was getting some in? But more expensive than $10 per 100g..
Yeah oh course it would be remember it 100+ Freight and probably gst. Its making IPA's real expensive to brew now!!
But not deterring me, still cheaper than bloody buying crap mega swill!
True!!! Im Enjoying your wisdom!!!
Haha, its actually quite funny, cos Doreen was like "$100 per kilo, so we prolly wont get any in" and I was thinking - NZ hops at LHBS generally these days = $9 per 100gms.

So most home brewers are paying close to that price for NZ hops anyway?!?! Why not pay an extra dollar and get something truely awesome!!

I am thinking about it but there is nothing landed right now anyway...

Unless they are going to get some big buys from a brewery or two, it won't be worth their while bringing any in at all. You'll find that almost all online retailers now have limits on how much you can buy as well. So you can only buy enough to go with the respective amount of malt you are buying. not sure how the LHBS shops are operating but I doubt they will have anything interesting in the imported hop department in the next year or so.

For Mike and Joe that would be 1kg of hops for every 5kg of malt... ;-)... but on the websites I'm seeing stuff like 100g per 5kg of malt.
100g For 5kg of Malt? is that the Bittering addition?
Yeah thats why they were saying 5kilo minimum as thats the minimum order from their supplier...
