My Campmaster 4 ring burner has given up the ghost. I'll give it one last effort to get it going when I get home this afternoon. It isn't letting enough gas through to get more than the tiniest blue flame on the outer ring. I've tried cleaning it - and I will try some more this afternoon - but but it is looking like I'll have to buy a new one.

No more boilovers!!!

Anyone know where I can purchase in Wellington? I'm on a motorbike so prefer the closest option to Miramar. Do The Warehouse or Mitre 10 sell them?

note: the burner actually belongs to Brendon, so don't tell him!

BBQ Factory in the Hutt defintly do! I have seen 4 burners at Mitre 10 mega's. Heres a trick Disconect your C02 hold it up to the part where the jet goes into a blow 5000psi through it that should clean it out and do the same with the jets there so simple I cant see how the can get goosed?, I take that back cast iron and sea spary and sea breeze!! Give it a go then start panicing!! Oh forgot to mention Make sure you wear protection gloves boots helmet eyeprotection the works we dont want any more deaths at brewerys like the DB plant!!
I saw Dion from Tuatara walking around with one in a pram last week... he was in Newtown but i've tried some places out there and nobody knew what I was talking about.

I might sell this old burner and let someone else try that trick!
Sell it? You said its rooted!!! Give it a go its only dangerous if you put your mouth over it!!

I wonder who else you've said that to ?
Wards had a C40 burner the last time I was out for about $30-$40 or so if I remember rightly.
Had the same problem with my BBQ- gas coming out so slow that me steaks were getting more of a sauna than a grill. Took the hose that goes between the bottle and burner into GasPro when I filled up the next time and they sorted it out with no troubles, and pro bono. Dunno what they did, and don't care, but me steaks have definitely improved!
After reading, it appears that you may be half hearted in trying to fix it. I agree, more fun buying new stuff, so disregard the above!
Good idea... but it probably won't help me brew tomorrow!
so nobody knows anything other than a maybe at Mitre 10?
2kW Still element from Brewcraft = $40.... 20mm Holesaw... job done.
What is your time from cold to boil Joe?
I use a 2300w element I got at Twiggs in the Hutt
Power on after my first draining and I get 12 1/2 litres to a boil before the second drain goes in. After that it's another 10-15 minutes before the whole 25 litres gets up to the boil
