Paradox

Renaissance's seasonal release, Paradox, is just awesome IMO... It reminds me of some of the really hoppy refreshing Pale Ales that I like to brew, just not as bitter :oP lol

If you see it around, you should most definately try it! Chock full of Riwaka hops, nice balance between the hops and the malt, good body, all round a really good beer! An awesome quaffer for a hot summers day, my bottle didnt last very long thats for sure... :o)

IMO it kicks Perfections ass, which was previously my favourite Renaissance beer...

Hi Glynn,

Can you please take a look at the Okells bottle and tell me if there are any markings on it that tell you who the NZ Importer was.. (I'm guessing there is an M&M Global Sticker on the bottom of the bottle)

As I understand it, this supermarket is directly across the road from The Beer Emporium's old site..

Right, got it in one - didn't notice the sticker on the bottom of the bottle. I've not had the opportunity of calling into the Beer Emporium to date (unfortunately it's been closed each time I've gone past). Certainly wondered what the likelihood of most of the beers on the shelf getting picked up by punters - there's a lot of choice, and unless you were keen to work your way through, I suspect things would get stale quickly. Still, full merits to Fresh Choice (and Beer Emporium) for trying - wish there was something of this quality in Wellington actually. While Regional is excellent, the range in Merivale is outstanding.

PS. Quite liking the Paradox - may well be back for some more
PPS. Wondering how many different beers I can get through in a week...

Yes I can confirm this!! I must of looked like a complete weirdo looking, studying and just trying to belive it was there but........it wasnt!! oh well thursday it is, wasnt a total wast of time I picked up to Emerson Dunkelwiess that I had thought it had all sold out and I missed.
