So who will now be New Zealand's biggest brewery (by volume produced?).

Steam?
Harringtons?
Tasman?
West Coast?

I know that Emeron's must be the easiest to find.
Would have to be Steam?
I'd throw out there Harrington's
What volume do Mates pump out to the east coast ?
Mates??
Is now Hawkes Bay Indepentant Breweries
Id think it would be Steam but I havnt been to the other breweries.... Yet...

I was fully blown away by the size of Steam tho!
My guess as to New Zealand owned independent breweries by volume

- Harringtons
- Hawkes Bay Independent
- West Coast Brewing
- Matsons Brewery
- Steam Brewing Company
- The Emerson Brewing Company
- Nelson Bays
- Tuatara
- Moa
- Dux de Lux
I'll put a bid in to be bottom of the list!!! Go the brewers bar pub.
I wouldn't get too carried away by Matsons. Even down here were not seeing it around much. Especially the packaged has dried up quite a bit. Depending on how you skin a cat, Nelson Bays could be higher, and don't forget Tasman. By the size of the operation when I toured, they definately have the potential to make some huge volumes.
You wouldn't know how much someone like McDuffs puts out either. $150 kegs to the students could be a dark horse (excuse the Mussel Inn pun)......!!!
On that note, any comment as to why BrewNZ is choosing to celebrate two styles which pretty much led to this scenario? Something, ANYTHING else would have seemed to be a better idea?
