Long time since I had one. Memories of Black malt and not much else .. probably a 1.5 / 5 ..

1.1 and 1.5- a bit harsh?? I am definitely no connoisseur, but I think it is okay. I really notice the difference between the North and South Island brewed versions though, even given my poor-ish palate. Mac's black is obviously the competitor here, and I think that one is a bit nicer.

It could be the best beer on the planet, but my tastebuds have been badly twisted and tortured by my own beers, brewed with bad practices, shabby techniques and poor hygene
