Ok, so What Are You Brewing was a hotty, as topics go.

Now I'm 15 pints into a keg I only filled on Tuesday and wondering if anyone else has a favourite at the moment ?

It's my second brown with US-Oh05 and it's better than the forst, maybe Ikept the temps down a bit during the scorcher we had in januray

Hahahaha, thats a wicked thumbs up
Yeah never thought I would say it but I gave the old Ruination the screwed face after my last mouthful!! damn whats wrong with me!! I do believe we are drinking IPA's at the wrong time of year though. I am most defintly reaching for my malt driven ales more than my large hoppy beers. I have 1 Keg of US Pale Ale Simcoe Amarillo, 1 Keg Belgian Dark 1 Oatmeal Stout, The Later 2 Im waiting to blow dry while the 1st one has been on since late July!! It aint a bad beer at all actualy it pretty damn good but its what im feeling!! A little more Sun and the 8Kgs of The best Hops in the World (US NZ) will be gone by Feb you just watch!!
I dont get why they all use so much carapils eh??? Its nice in small amounts but 7%??

And WTF?? The rock has a beer?? Really? Bet its shit ;o)
Sierra Nevada Celebration ale - meh, lost its hop flavour and aroma, but I hadn't set my hopes high this time. Still staunchly bitter with a hint of citrus flavour, nice malt back bone too. A little sulfury/egg-fart on the nose though which got me by surprise.
The Rock Beer!!!!!!!! Yeah Right!!!

Seriously has anyone dared to try it?
Haha is the food match for that their cheesymite chips?

Do the really have a beer now?

..I assume you're talking about the radio station.
Suppose you would have to have those cheesymite chips with tuimato sauce.....

I'm half way through a bottle of my robust porter brew a couple months back.... Roasty Sickness.... I thought Tony was kidding when he was down here and said once you go black you may never go back.... mmmmm black roasty sickness...
Agreed, black malt is the shit.

Drinking Deschutes Obsidian Stout - fucking tasty as, reminds me of PKB a little malt-wise.
Damn, I should have had your porter tonight James, is it ready?
Just cracked an old rasputin and tasting it next to my own imp stout (out of the fermenter but basically ready to bottle), its like me racing against usain bolt (rasputin wins!), its not all that bad though.
I'm pretty happy with it Soren given it was only my third dark beer. Although I tend to have the taste buds of a goat with a cast iron gut to boot.
finally got around to this one, very well done James! At first the aroma was pungent of fresh and fruity esters, like smelling the airlock at the peak of fermentation. after a bit of swirling this subdues and the aroma opens up with chocolate, caramel, liqorice (anise?). flavors are much the same with a good bitterness and a slight acidic twang. if I HAD to suggest a change I might up the body the slightest bit, but not much, a couple of points. Really, really good mate, I wouldnt be disappointed if I'd paid money for this! Cheers!
btw, what yeast is this?
