Dropped by the Malthouse in hope of a 3Boys Pils on tap. Missed out but had a Boysenbeery and 3Boy IPA before dinner. Having an Epic now. Still got a few left from the cheap Moore Wilson cases. I really like the Boysenberry. Felt a bit weird to have it as the first beer of the evening but it actually went down a treat with a good combination of sweet and savoury. The IPA is not [articularly consistent but always tasty so can't complain.
Yeah the best 3 boys IPA I had was on tap at the malthouse, it was sooo good, really grapefruity, but then I got a bottle when I got back to AKL and it was just boring, and completely different :o(
Had a few beers this weekend the two retail beers I had were like yin and yang: good and evil: right and wrong... see where I'm going with this?
Yin / Good / Right... Ngahere Gold.
Yang / Evil / Wrong... Paradox.
Sorry Reviled: My Paradox was awful! It left a bad thin taste in my mouth that was quickly filled with a greatly crafted, ballanced flavour of a strong lager. I told my Uncle 'n Law it was like Stiny Pure on Steroids!

Looks like a few good days for Ol' Welly Town coming up ...
Anticipating a day or two at the beach followed by a big hit on the Hallertau Blande Ale keg, while the bbq cooks and the togs & towel dry out on the line.
