Can anyone confirm they have received their results from the NHC yet? I'm a little concerned that I've spoken to several people who haven't, and they were posted on Saturday.
Yup, mine arrived yesterday. They contained quite a bit of feedback for each beer, some of which was a bit disheartening, but all of which was useful :)
Fabulous looking certificates this year too! Well done with them, and with the whole competition.
Phew, I'm most relieved. Glad the feedback is useful. The judges were a pack of hardasses. Medals had to be pried from their (our) cold and twisted fingers! ;)
Phil Murray designed the certs. We wanted them to be something a bit special. Glad you like them.
Aw what you all got certs this year? Was there certs last year cos I never got anything :o( Stink, prolly would've entered if I knew I had a chance at something for the wall... Oh well, next year I guess...

lol, Greig probably saw my certificate and purposely destroyed it :oP lol - Even tho I dont think he was involved last year, im sure its still his fault ;o)

Certs last year, medals the year before. Certs are fine, it's the challenge of getting awarded a Gold medal beer that appeals. My gold medal certificates mean way to me than my silver medals.
Yeah, my medals still hang on my bar at home. Without cash sponsorship of years past though they proved cost-prohibitive, and I was so stoked with the job Phil did on the certs I didn't think anyone would mind. :)
At least you have a gold in there somewhere, Mr. C. None for me. I hope I can find some other mug^Wdevoted person to run the gig next year because I want a crack. Thoughts are with Kieran though, who has judged for the last few years, and really wants to enter!
What a fucking fail - oxidised and/or phenolic on almost every brew sheet.
Oxidised - I'm picking was from my shitty bottling technique. Phenolic - I dunno, I'm hoping it's just the chlorine in my water because all the other reasons for that off flavour seem pretty unlikely. It sucks because I can't pick it out in my beers, I'll start treating my water and hopefully that'll change it.
On the upside you guys awarded my ocktoberfest a bronze, that was actually fermented as an ale :-P
