I actually read your initial post about maris otter being an older malt warra and I was thinking about this last night, and then reading through my notes it seems that my Case swap brown was actually mashed for 120 mins, instead of my usual 60, now my efficiency was only better than previous brews by one or two points, but the taste IMO was a hell of alot better, more malty and full? But again I dont know if that was just a better beer or whether it was down to mashing longer??
yeh, I love it.
Awesome, might be time for another Pliny clone ;o)

edit : jeezuz 17.4% aa??? That is just insane bro!!!
Dude 17.4 AA = Nice!! Shit may have to up the size of the brews to accomadate the AA, as I dont realy want to be cutting of slivers from the pallet like its a hash block!! hahahaha
"cutting of slivers from the pallet like its a hash block"

bahahaha, gold!! I could imagine it tho for a standard pale ale or something, 1.2gms at 60 for 20 IBU or something haha
Allrighty, all plugged in for sunday brewing - Went with Mikes advice on the bittering hops, a massive 8gms at 60 haha, sorry Andrew but im not feeling brave enough for the mystery just yet.. Ive also subbed the crystal for carabohemian...

Is that for a double batch Andrew?
Just a single batch. My efficiency isn't 75% as it says there and I tend to get a few litres loss with my set up so normally end up with about 22-23l.
