It hurts me, but being realistic I am not going to be able to brew for a few months and the below hops & yeast probably need to be used sooner rather than later. Best let someone else use it then go to waste, so the below is free to a good home... first in first served.

Yeast and hops all stored in insulated bag inside fridge at all times.

Yeast
1028 London Ale (manufacturing date: 5-Oct-09)
2278 Czech Pils (manufacturing date: 3-Aug-08)
206 Bavarian (manufacturing date: 15-Jun-09)
2 * Safale S33 (11 grams each)
Nottingham Ale (Danstar, 11 grams)

Dry yeast sourced from US.

Hops (all directly sourced from NZ Hops and 100 gram bags still sealed)
NZ Cascade
NZ Pacifica
2 * NZ Motuaka

Thought is was Bogey Boyz ?
you guys are the Bogan Boys!
Yep, I'm happy with that.

I can see the headlines already:
- Bogan Boyz Brew Best Beer
- Bogan Boyz Belgian is Beer Bliss
- Brewers Bow Down To Bogan Boyz Beer

You know it's just a matter if time...
paradise
Tell me that again in July when you've got one degree more frost than Turangi
Jt, hence why I brew strong beer!! I need something to warm me up!! Hey if its good for Santa its good for me!!
Sorry but I'll be at work all day unfortunately. Saturday could work but as its moving day can't guarantee anything!
Mate, if only you'd said last weekend I'd have definitely taken the Cascade and Motueka off your hands! If you've got time next time you're up here the bar is open whenever.
Mate if the hops are in those vacum sealed packs they will be right for a couple of months if you keep em in the freezer!!

Ive got non sealed hops still hanging around in my freezer from a year ago and I still intend on using them, I doubt they will be bad!
I was under the impression that hops vacuum packed and stored in freezer away from light that the you will get a less than 25% loss of AA? Beersmith's Hop Age Tool gives the following results.....

Scenario:
8.5% Amarillo in vaccum pack @ -18C after 12 months would be about a 5% loss.
8.5% Amarillo in zip lock @ -18C after 12 months would be about a 10% loss.

So, keeping them in the freezer would allow for about 4~10 years before them hit the dreaded 50% (cheesy) loss. This would be 25% loss if stored @ 20C in vacuum pack or 50% if in plastic.
Loss of AA doesnt nessecarily mean loss of flavour tho does it?

Maybe ill take all my old hops out of the freezer, let em go brown and brew a lambic ;o)
Usually loss of AA is related to the breakdown of the oils, which are the flavour and aroma. Left too long you get a cheesy flavour supposedly... not that I have had my hops long enough for that!
