Cheers guys will start with fixing the hose at the bulkhead and not turning the tap of full straight away. Doing another brew start next week so will test then. After that I'll do as you suggest James and make it into a bigger area.

Well guys just finished brewing an ESB and had another go with the braided hose. Didn't get time to straighten the hose at the bulkhead but today it didn't matter. Having the lid open and slowly opening the tap made all the difference had a great flow out and didn't even have to open the tap. Thanks for the help guys.
If you are using S05, it's not a Best Bitter, because you won't get the esters etc British Ales need..
You are brewing an APA, so you may as well use USA style hops such as your Cascade, Amarillo, or Centennial.
