hey guys, I have a random idea..

I saved 2 litres of wort from my CAP brewed on thursday which i was going to use as a starter in the weekend, but didnt get round to it, I noticed on sunday the wort started to go a bit cloudy, and now its fully cloudy with a couple of white spots which look sorta funky...

I was thinking, if I just leave it to do its thing, and do a taste test when its finished, I would then in theory be able to use this as a starter for a spontenious fermentation yeh???

I know that theres a 99% chance that it will be feral, but im curious as to what I have flying around my garage, most probably just lacto from all the milled grain?? But wouldnt it be cool if there was something awesome in there? ;o)

Any ideas? Or am I just crazy? :oP lol

I thought I was mad!! Bottle it and see what happens!! My garage must be sterile!! I have had some trub wort recovery protocol stuff sitting in the garage at ambient since last sat and it only oxidised no bugs in it!!
Nup. You're crazy. Lol
Probably the H yeast strain.... H for HOLDEN! :p
Bacterial infection?? I'm sure it won't kill you but I'd guess it will taste pretty funky.
Any idea what sort of bacteria I could expect?? I was thinking more lacto?
See how sour it is? than chuck in some S05 and see what happens?
No idea, but its safe to say that something will be floating around. They're everywhere, as are wild fungi...
