Just found out my company is transferring me to Brisbane in Jan for a few years. I'll be gutted to miss kiwi winters but begs some important questions.....

Is there a good supply shop for AG ingredients in or around Brisbane I can source stuff from or do I mail order?

I'm currently using a copper immersion coil to cool the wort. Would that suffice in Brisbane ambient temp? Do I need to look at getting a heat exchanger?

Also, gutted to miss a kiwi winter?? Really? Its the winters every year that make me hate this country :oP lol, summer and spring seem to be quite good at redemption tho...
I love the winters here... it's the spring I hate. Seems to last for about 4 months in Wellington and it is where we get the windy rep from.

There is a good homebrew community in QLD from what I've heard - send Ross at www.craftbrewer.com.au a message and he'll put you in touch with the right people. He's a pretty awesome brewer himself from what I've heard (and lots of people may get a chance to test that theory soon).
"There is a good homebrew community in QLD"

Too true, I forgot to mention that I attended the QLD case swap last year in june, was a great night tasting every ones beers and meeting some brewers across the ditch!! Reckon youll love it over there Daron!
Cheers for the replies. I counted stock in my garage and looks like I have a few bottles to deal with prior to me leaving !

I've been (partially) on the wagon due to training to run the AKL Marathon next weekend so supply has exceeded demand....temporarily. It never actually occurred to me to slow down production.
I have the opposite problem, I try not to run unless I'm being chased, and demand ALWAYS outstrips supply at my place.

Let me know if you need help emptying bottles!
