Ok, so What Are You Brewing was a hotty, as topics go.

Now I'm 15 pints into a keg I only filled on Tuesday and wondering if anyone else has a favourite at the moment ?

It's my second brown with US-Oh05 and it's better than the forst, maybe Ikept the temps down a bit during the scorcher we had in januray

JT's "Mini PKB" - a fantastic little beer that has all the attributes of low gravity session drinking but with the added bonus of fruity loaf crust from the dark malts and hops. Thanks JT. I can't believe I left this idea behind two years ago... it comes up from time to time, as it was one of the best session beers I've ever made, but somehow I've never rebrewed it. It's now the number one beer on my agenda for my next brew day. Not sure when that will be but I hope to make it soon!

My local 4 Square has a great range of beer... picked up Three Boys Golden, Moa 5 Hop and an 1845 the other night. The 1845 was splendid and it reminded me to go back to it now and then. Impossible to believe that the beer is only 6.3% as it has more complexity and character than beers of 7, 8 or 9%...
We were down Seatoun beach on Monday, in the spring gales that Stu loves so much - NOT - collecting shells, playing noughts and crosses in the sand, getting wet feet and windburnt
So I dropped a bottle of the cascade mild off at Stu's and was delighted to pick up the sesame street of beer - three bottles marked a, b and c
I suspect that they'll challenge my tastebuds more than I'm used to - and I'm still feeling guilty about only dropping one off and receiving three

And the PKB Mild ? I must say I was a bit worried about your suggested hopping there Stu, 1.5gm/per litre at 20 15 10 5 and 0, and I did add the same as a dry hop
My shonky old excel file reckoned the IBU were 130% of the OG, but it doesn't taste like it
Bottle conditioned came out much better than the keg though ...
Bottle A tonight, the Islay pale and that's the peated malt yea ?
Looked and smelt great, had a few sips and thought it was the smoked malt you'd talked about.
Yes, it was more of a challenge than I anticipated and by the end I was struggling
But I do suspect that my taste buds are tainted though
Still, you've got to try it and I appreciate the opportunity, thanks Stu
meow...
Yea, I obviously struggle with extra-ordinary beers Stu.
in a couple of years time you'll be brewing it too... who you have picked you for "wild mild"?

what are you going to do for #1000?
# 1000 will be a few years away Stu - could coincide with my 60th if I time it right ... but I've penciled in a smoked peated wheat, kiwifruit lambic, just to challenge myself
what about the hops?

I reckon a Belgian Peated Ki-wheat-fruit Lambic IIPA...
Hops ? I'd probably plunder the hop gardens of North Welly, none of those fancy imported hops either

IIPA ? Can't imagine it Stu, it'd be 1.040 tops as (nearly) always
Some of my sketchier home brews and some of another brewer with a friend.

Pleasantly surprised by a Smoked Beer and enjoyed a RyePA with a stupidly hot Thai curry.
First couple of the bottle hopped aroma beers and not entirely unanticipated these were gushers. Nice opportunity to enjoy the relative aroma's of Pac Gem and Fuggles in a similar environment.

Finished up with a hydro sample of the Old Dirty Bastard, first in the line of some english styled ales named after members of the Wu Tang Clan
that wu tang mention has reminded me of something that has inspired a beer name...

I hereby bags "Serious Delerium"
Duly noted - I've reserved Old Dirty Bastard for future Ticket use, perhaps as Old DB to be provocative
