Looking at doing a keg set up, Is it cheaper and easyer to go with the brew craft setup or designing your own set up, and getting the bits from the likes of Craft brewer, etc?
Whats your thoughts?
Jacko, make up a mix of water and dish wash detergent and paint all the connections. If you get bubbles you have a leak.
When I first turn on my tap I get a whine, then the sound of leaking from the bottle / reg connection area. I just keep turning the bottle on and it seems to go away.

How full is the keg? I get that whiney sound as the pressure in the keg equalizes with the pressure setting of the reg. The less liquid in the keg, the longer it takes for the whine to lower and eventually stop.
As long as there are no leaks then you're fine. Do as James says and check EVERYTHING with dishwashing liquid and water.
Also, don't let this stop you from carbing up a beer. Just turn the CO2 off at the bottle while it carbs up overnight. Worked for me.
Thanks fellas, I have done the washing liquid all over the connections and can't see any bubbling. The whine I think is def the pressure equalizing as now I have more water in the keg it goes quicker than yesterday. I'm just worried about the light hissing I keep hearing. Interesting what vdog said, when the pressure is set it doesn't appear to be dropping. I wanted to go the set and forget route with carbing so really wanted to leave the gas on without losing it all. I'll give it another go now I think see if I can fix it up.
Thanks all, I think I'll put this one down to user error and not having a clue what I'm doing! I got a new seal for the regulator as the old one came apart due to over tightening I think. I've leak tested everything and it all looks good. I think the hissing is just the gas going to the keg and reaching pressure as it stops after a while.
Anyway Texan Blonde is in the keg sat at 95Kpa @ 6c. I'll give it a whirl next week and see how she's going. One last effort required to bottle my WnBC Imperial Hybrid and then my bottling days are over!!
Cheers mate, I've had a fairly busy week so it hasn't been that hard to leave it be. Yeah I'm pretty happy with it, hopefully it will clear up with some more time but overall a nice hoppy little blonde. A bit like 3 boys golden I reckon but with more hop aroma and flavour.
It is foaming a little bit as the pour seems quite quick, I might have to drop the pressure a wee bit or increase the line to see if that helps.
