Hi Steve - just spotted this earlier this morning (courtesy of Jed Soane):
http://www.fastcompany.com/blog/joseph-tirella/joseph-tirella/idrun...

not sure if promash or beersmith are available... yet
maybe not what you are looking for, but I use the heck out of the timer built into my iphone for timing hop drops and such.
Yes, a timer on your phone is extremely useful for brewing - so why have Nokia dropped it from their latest models???? I had to upgrade the other day due to my old one being 'modified' by our 1 yr old (luckily a freebie upgrade) and now I have no timer - aarrgghh! I think I can download a 3rd party app on the new gizmo thingy, but geez......
Yeah was wondering the same thing, n85 - $1400 phone and no fucking timer?!?!?! had to download a third party one.

Someone should make some software for the Symbian OS.
Which one did you get?
One called BestTimer. Had to hunt around a bit for a 'free' version though.
I understand that Jamil Zainasheff is setting up a company in the US to develop such apps.
BJCPStyles - great portable ref.
HBCalc - very basic, but great for conversions and calcs
BrewMath - any calc and ref you might ever need.
iBrewMaster is another one I just came across in the itunes store. Seems you can create recipes on this one in the vain of Beer Smith.
