Hi folks,

I'm making space in my garden to grow some hops this year. If anyone has any rhizomes going spare, let me know. Likewise, if anyone spots any hops for sale in garden centres, post here.

I understand that the next month or two are the optimum planting window, yes?

I too would be keen, got access to a mystery motueka rhizome and could possibly trade...
I'm looking for some at the moment too. I have a couple of pagodas that would be perfect for some hop plants. There's someone selling them on trade me at the mo but I've never heard of the variety (smoothcone?).
Yeah, I've heard July/August is the best time to plant.
I can offer up some Danscade (NZ Cascade, props to denimglen), it's in a big pot, be interesting to see how many I can get from it. It's going into the ground this season, hopefully it'll grow like a mofo this year and I'll have a ton of hops... mmm.
Count me in.
Id be keen to buy/trade for some Danscade
I'd be keen to buy some danscade too if there is any left over......
No buying, just wait in line and I'll get your addresses...
Yeah I think I have promised some Danscade and Smoothcone this year. If the rhizome's good, I'm keen to share / trade.
I'm happy to buy a couple of shoots if you get any spare. Nothing to trade at the mo... ;-)
The Infamous? Mystery German perhaps?
Yeah mine are just starting to emerge from the soil now so get them in the ground!!!
I'm looking into getting some. Waimea Nurseries in Richmond said they have some - mimimum order is 10 @ about $14 each. Bay Nurseries (Also in Richmond) also said they have some but aren't currently on shelves - will check out further next time I'm out that way.
I would be interested in getting some from the richmond nurseries, but I wouldn't need 10 so could divy up and share costs, with christian or anyone else. I,ll give them a ring tomorrow
