Ok, so What Are You Brewing was a hotty, as topics go.

Now I'm 15 pints into a keg I only filled on Tuesday and wondering if anyone else has a favourite at the moment ?

It's my second brown with US-Oh05 and it's better than the forst, maybe Ikept the temps down a bit during the scorcher we had in januray

You forgot about +ion Kappa Carageenan derivatives from the addition of pubes James.... cant forget those!

Otherwise there's no point getting naked in the 1st place!
Do you have to play a particular tune on the immersion chiller? Please don't say Kenny G!
"Clear up sleepy Jean.... Oh what can it mean... To a...... Murky beer brewer... and a..... pisshead to boot???"

To the tune of Day Dream Believer by the Beatles.
How long did you say your immersion chiller is? You seem to have to blow it pretty hard to get decent tune out of it?

I can't help but wonder where the other end is!
Daydream Believer was The Monkees. Although Atomic Kitten covered it a few years... maybe you're thinking of them when you're blowing that horn.
Ohhhh! Beef skin! So that's what I was missing.

I've been thinking of doing a test and fining with gelatine so I'd be keen to see those steps. Do you reckon it would still carbonate in the bottle?
Without doubt... I'll forward the message to you once I find it.
I cant find it mate - James can you help?

Maybe I'll blog these steps - but I dont forsee doing any clear beers for the next month or 2.
Joe, sent you a PM. Mr C added you as a friend, as I couldn't send you a PM!!
Just so it doesn't seem like there is any cloak and dagger going on here - and in the name of good sportsmanship... Here is a bit of the good word... Minus the pubes...

So, I guess that you want the beer clear, so this is what I'd do. In order (of course).

1, Don't bother with racking to secondary.
2, Chill the beer to 0 - 2 degrees if possible.
3, Leave chilled for 2 days to ensure thorough chilling.
4, Prepare your gelatine with 250mls WARM water and 1/2 teaspoon of oradnary gelatine mixed to a liquid.
5, Pour into beer, and stir in very well to ensure gelatine is well dispersed to beer.
6, leave for 2 more days for yeast to settle out and keg as usual.

And thanks for fishing this out of the Archives, James!
WIll that leave enough yeast to carbonate with priming sugar (bottled)?
Definately.
