Ok, so What Are You Brewing was a hotty, as topics go.

Now I'm 15 pints into a keg I only filled on Tuesday and wondering if anyone else has a favourite at the moment ?

It's my second brown with US-Oh05 and it's better than the forst, maybe Ikept the temps down a bit during the scorcher we had in januray

Just be gentlewith the pour, I think I managed to agitate the yeast a bit, either that or the muffler's fallen of the car.
Spent a couple of two hour sessions at Galbraith's on monday/Tuesday where I worked my way through the entire range (besides Resurrection). The Munich Lager was probably in the best shape of all of them, very very good. Bitter and Twisted was tasting pretty good, probably a shade more bitter than I remember it ever being, and i really enjoyed the Porter as always.

Stepped up to the 'thou-shalt-not-drink-crap-beer" resolution at a resturant (Mecca) and the "Seven Worlds Collide" gig (Powerstation), where I refrained drinking their crappy offerings. I'm going to up the ante by emailing them both to ask them why I could buy a decent wine but not a decent beer.
I was at Galbraiths a couple of weeks ago, didn't hit the lagers but really enjoyed Mr G and B&T. Bob was ok but Bellringers was completely out of form....

Mad props with the 'thou-shalt-not-drink-crap-beer" resolution i think i might borrow it if you don't mind....it's probably the best resolution i've heard!

Don't just borrow it, have it. I have an unlimited supply to give away....
An unlimited supply of crap beer to giveaway Stu ?
Do you do swappa kegs ?
Right that's it no more crap beer!!!!
Does anyone class hop rocker as crap?
Seven Worlds? Rusty is jealous.

Jeff Tweedy is my hero!
Awesome set - here's the setlist.

Tweedy is one of my favourite songwriters, for sure, and Johnny Marr is is a musical genius. Great combo. Glenn Kotche yet again proved to me that he's one of the finest drummers around. Would loved to have stayed for another night...

I saw Wilco in April too (plus a magnificent Yeasayer gig a few months ago, PJ Harvey at the start of 2008 and The Breeders too), so it's been a good year. David Byrne in about a month...!!!
I was very tempted by the "Seven Worlds" gigs but dithered too long. Problem is that there's a cluster of decent gigs coming up in Auckland in the first 3 months of the year - Seven Worlds, Big Day Out, Nine Inch Nails, Iron Maiden, Billy Connolly. Funds won't stretch to all of 'em!

Apologies for the off-topic drift!

Martin
Stu,

I was in Galbraiths 5ish on Monday, I did see a chap wearing a yeastieboys t-shirt. Was that you then?
And I'll be in there at 6.30-ish tonight if anyone's around.
Yep, I was one of two people wearing them. We were outnumbered by "Finn" and "Wilco" t-shirts though. We left about 6ish for dinner at 'Zap 2' in Mt Roskill. Very nice, if you like Thai.

I would normally announce I was coming but the gig tickets were a Christmas present for Fritha so I didn't want to make the trip a "homebrewer love in"... next time....
