Getting New Zealand beer in Australia

I'm sure many of the members of this blog either have friends or family in Australia, have lived in Australia or take pity on some fellow Australians who have developed a taste for NZ beer. Is there any information on companies which can arrange importation to Australia of retail amounts of beer sourced in NZ. I particularly don't want to have to Wanaka every time I want a Brewski, and it is not to be found on this side of the ditch. Any info about others experience appreciated.

I don't know the answer to your question about shipping but I have had good NZ craft brew in Melbourne at quite a few places. Transport Bar on Flinders St opposite Flinders St Station has an awesome selection including NZ beers. Cookie Bar on Swanston St has Emerson's for AU$8 which I thought was an awesome deal. Lambs Go Bar in Collingwood. There was one bottlo with a good range:

If the bars and bottlos can stock it, you must be able to buy it. There is a bit on Monieths about but that doesn't really count. There are tonnes of awesome Australian craft beers that will help. Try the beer store people that contribute to this site, they might be able to arrange something but you'll pat a premium. www.beerstore.co.nz

Thanks for the pointers. I will chase up Ackland cellars and, if they can't help, well I guess a guy needs a hobbie and mine may as well be trying to source microbrews.

There's the International Beer Store. I know they stock Emerson's but not sure what else they have.
