Febrewery 2009 (Waitangi Day)

I was going to see who was interested in a brew day / get together on Waitangi Day 2009 (it happens to fall on Friday 6th Feb next year).

Brew day and then a BBQ/drinks with partners later on? Location TBA.

There was some discussion on Friday night about a little competition to make the best gluten free beer, which may or may not be the best time to do it.... but just putting out some ideas.

Okay I thought we could look at doing a BIAB and a traditional if you guys are keen?

Ged if you are in, can you do the traditional? Can we borrow your garage / the Clink Brewhaus (the ulterior motive to sample you kegged beer...)

I'll have my gear for the BIAB, with no chill. Probably try and document on video now that I have a new HDD vid camera.

Dylan, HerrSchnapps will you be around for it?

I'll get the ingredients for a Pilsner in a multi step mash.

I did end up doing a brew on Waitangi day. I brewed a blonde ale, and hit some good numbers from my new mash tun. Ended up no chilling as the immersion chiller is causing me ulcers...

Still up for a group brew day if anyone is keen in the future.
