Hi
Anyone here who uses a pH meter, where are you buying your pH buffer solutions from?
Cheers

Not really sold on the buffer solution stuff... if you want to do water chemistry but want to keep it simple look at http://www.brewersfriend.com/water-chemistry/ or http://www.huizingh.net/ez/
Both are excellent. You will need a water report form your local council or have your water test if using Bore/Creek water.
For me All I want to achieve is good pH during the mash with the nessecary minerals to help the emzimes do their job. Some time a bit more Gypsum to lift hop profiles.
Others will target water profiles for certain beer clones... thats dedication there.
Ahh sorry there.

Tauranga based company.
Good solutions at the best price I have found so far
Also have their own meters but havent used those.
Just grabbed some buffer from them. The solutions are fine but do not fit with the standard solutions in my meter. Just worth mentioning before anyone buys if you meter has fixed calibration values.
My meter calibrates 4 and 7.
Their solutions are 4.01 and 7.01
Not sure what yours calibrates to but 1/100 of a pH unit makes not difference to me for measuring brew pH. Plenty more variables at play that will have greater affect.
What meter do you have and what are its calibration points?
I have a good unit - a Milwaukee MW102 and its margin of error is 0.01 and that's before you take into account sensor degradation, temp variance, etc.
I just got mine from a local garden store. You can also find it in stores where they sell fish as pets.
