Is my brew too clean?
I had some mates over last night to taste my first 2 brews.
An American Pale Ale and a Premium Draft. ( Kits) Bottle conditioned for 3 weeks (so far)
Both went down very well and were thought to be triumphs..
I then asked what might have been missing if I were to re brew them again.
One comment...can one get a bit more taste "linger ing in the mouth"?
Good comment I thought....so can I ? How?
What would create taste bud linger?

Fair enough.
There was a difference in the AM PA using unhopped extract and the Prem DRaught to which I had added hop tea at pitching stage.
My third brew Bohme Pils has hop tea and dry hop. Un tasted as of yet.
What about specialty malt additions as well?
Sorry for noob questions. On the learning curve and thats why I started with base line brews.
Yup you can even buy dry malt extract that will be better than using sugar etc......Try dry hopping too, Chucking some hop pellets into the fermenter around day 5-7 and leave for around 4 days before bottling..
I'm still convinced you can make good beer with just pimping kits
