Hi,

I live in the Far North and would love to grow some hops for home brew. Does anyone know where I can find some rhizomes of any hops varieties that are good for brewing? Preferably a couple varieties?

I'd be happy to buy them if anyone has some they'd like to sell and ship to me. Or if anyone knows of a source.

I tried Trademe but could only find one variety that appeared to be an ornamental as apposed to for brewing.

While we're at it, can anyone recommend a good variety or two that would likely grow well in the far north?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Hey William,

Where abouts are you? I'm in Peria. Inland from Taipa. Would you be interested in selling a few? What kind are they?

Thanks for the reply.

These guys have Smooth Cone.  They grew real well in Palmy, many hop cones which smelled great. Have just used wet in a brew.  Not yet tasted however.

Thanks. I just found some smooth cone as well. They are supposedly decent for brewing. If anyone finds any otehr varieties I'd be very keen.

Thanks.
