For Sale: Crate bottles - 8 dozen (Dunedin)

Hi all,

I've upgraded to kegs so have 8 dozen crate bottles (750ml) for sale. $5 per crate.

All the bottles have been previously cleaned and stored upside down to keep the dust out. Includes the wooden crates.

One of the crates is about half Coopers bottles, same capacity but slightly taller so only an issue for stacking. All the other bottles are standard crate bottles.

Will be up on trademe in a couple of days but though the forum might want a head start.

Hi, I don't suppose this would be feasible to ship to the North Island? I'm not very up to speed on shipping prices/challenges in NZ. Thanks.

Hi John, I don't think shipping them would be viable. They are fairly bulky and heavy so it wouldn't be cheap and would need quite a bit of extra packing to make sure they survived the trip. You best bet would be to try a local bottle store that does swapa crates and see if you can buy some empties from them. Otherwise most home brew stores sell 750ml PET bottles for a reasonable price if you don't mind plastic.

Thanks. Yeah, I figured as much. Really looking for glass as apposed to plastic. Think I've found a source though, just a little expensive. I appreciate the reply though. All the best.
