Happy National Beer Day everyone, we now have 10 brewers participating in the sjporr experiment. Corey from "The Brew House" in Wellington has kindly offered a discount to people buying grains for the experiment. Remember the deadline to confirm that you are participating is wednesday 10th April, and brews need to be ready mid June for distribution.

I have confirmation from SJ, that brewers can use Wyeast 004 or 005 instead of the WhiteLabs that was in the base recipe. 3 days to go to get final numbers for this international homebrew experiment.

Sorry, I got a bit lost on that one. What is Wyeast 004 or 005?

Is this open too beginners?  I have done 8 AG brews so far , and have used most of the grains mentioned....

As pointed out by Grant, instead of the WhiteLabs yeast you can also use

Wyeast 1272 American Ale YeastII or 1056 American Ale Yeast
