Crafty buggers!

This caught my eye at the supermarket this afternoon. At $12.99 a six pack it looked like another big brewer at it again!

Sure enough..a quick google and Ratebeer shows it's another Lion Nathan product trying to claw black some market share.

Anyone tried it? Saved my pennies for somethimng more worthy ;)

Yes, tried their pale ale on Friday night and it's all it promises to be ie. a tasteless Lion brew trying rather obviously to be a gateway beer. The label even says something like "crafty but not too crafty" which says it all.

As far as gateway beers targetting the swill punters, Boundary Rd do this kind of thing much better.

I liked this line in the article:

"...and a desire to make a craft beer that you can actually drink!"

It is not like I have to choke down craft beer, I actually enjoy drinking craft beer.
