I've just purchased a large chest freezer that I'm turning into a home for my Corney kegs. I have been scouring the interwebs for a suitable thermostat but cannot find anything suitable.
Ideally I'd like a simple thermostat which switches the freezer on when the temp goes below 5C. Does anyone have any sources or suggestions?

Cheap but seem to work ok. If you search this forum there are a few other options out there (ebay and the like)

Cheers Ralph,
I searched the forum but I was thinking more of a simple plug in portable thermostat like these:

I really would like to avoid having to buy individual components and wire it up to be honest.
I got a STC-1000 like Ralph's suggestion, works great. Needs minor wiring and a box to put it in but I got mine basically spliced into a short extention cord.
You can check out ebay and maybe get it a bit cheaper (probably only about US$3 cheaper though), but just watch out you get a 230V model not the 110V.
Have a chat to Paul Wicksteed on these forums, or his website here:

I got an STC-1000 in a case, all wiring done, etc from him - was totally plug and play.
Yeah, looks nice. About how much are you looking at for one?
I think you can get the bits for around $35 so I guess around $70 would be a fair price put together but I'm really just guessing.
EDIT: Just got a reply from Paul and he has them for $100 all wired up and they have a plug for heating as well as cooling so you can use them for a fermentation chamber. Seems reasonable so I'm going to get one I think. He still has a couple if anyone else is interested.
I have 4, 3 now in stock that I am selling for $100 a piece +P&P.
They are fermentor temperature controllers, dual relay 240v 10A units, using the STC-1000 controller. I also use one for my keggerator, I just leave the heating plug, unplugged.
Works great for controlling fermentation temps.
cheers Evan and Brent for the mentions
Installed the unit into my freezer yesterday and it is working a treat. Well made and easy to use, I would highly recommend one of these!
Now I'm just trying to order some taps and shanks, anyone have any advice on places to purchase them?
I'm ordering some post-liquids/gas fittings from chicompany.net in the US but I have found shipping of taps and shanks cost prohibative.
Check UltraFlow for taps, shanks and connectors. http://www.ultraflow.co.nz
I think some of their prices are a little high (eg. Micromatic keg couplers), but otherwise they are quick and friendly to deal with.
