Does anyone have any good Porter recipes they'd like to share? I'm looking at making a Porter for the winter and would like some ideas if possible, I normally do a partial mash (grains, hops and a can of malt extract) and am looking for an excuse to put my black malt and roast barley to good use!
There were a few porters in the case swap that you could look at for inspiration. My recipe is here
I'm not saying its a good porter, but its a partial which fits your criteria. I'd omit the roasted barley and (if you're gaunnae use my recipe as a template) dry hop for a bit more aroma. The other CS porters were also good so maybe try a bit of mix and match
Or, if you really want to use your roasted barley try a Wee Heavy, its a strong Scottish (not Scotch, thats a drink) Ale. Worth a brew for winter I'd say. Good luck with whatever you brew, I'm sure you'll have fun formulating yr recipe
