I just finished brewing my corona style lager - my first partial grain lager ever! Hope it works out!
However there was one thing I did wrong...
Well, damnit! I left the grains boiling in the slow cooker for nearly an hour. Wasn't thinking straight. Stupid stupid!! I NEVER did this before! Soon I realised though! After ranting to myself hysterically like Christian Bale on the set of Terminator 4 I threw out the wasted grains and did another batch. This one I only did around under 10oz or so of lager malt (I didn't have enough) 1oz wheat malt, .05kg rice flakes. Some of the over boiled rubbish I *did* actually use for shits and giggles but I'm not sure if it will help this lot. It DID taste sweetish so hey.. Who knows? It was bubbling to itself just before so yeah... Any words of wisdom here, apart from "sharpen up?"
Would it have been ok had I used all the over boiled lager malt?
Cheers.
