About Me:
Started brewing in 1992 in Little Rock, Arkansas when I helped a mate start Little Rock's first Brew Pub, Vino's (by "helped" I mean cleaning the kegs, boiler, fermentation units, toilet, etc). Moved to NZ permanently in '97 and stopped brewing in 2000. Decided to start up again earlier this year.

Hi Nolen,

I noticed you just brewed a mild. I have also just completed one, using Wyeast West Yorkshire yeast. I brew predominantly APA's and hopier beers, but this is my first mild and malt based beer. I would be keen to do a swap if you are interested to compare?

I have just started fermenting mine. It ended at 1.065! so I am not sure if it is actually a mild, more a strong brown? At the moment I have a stuck fermentation, so I hope the yeast is ok (it's a Tim Taylor). Hey just a bottle or 2 would be fine, I was just interested in this style, because it is not made that much these days.

Yes my temp was too high also, thats probably why? I could get below 25 and I was impatient to wait all night. If I don't get any action in the next 24 hours, I'll have to reboil it and pitch another yeast. At my current calculations, it should end up at around 6.5%

I did hear back from Steve. $70 each plus shipping which I think is $20.
I've asked him for a quote on 3 kegs but haven't heard back from him on that yet. I haven't decided to purchase yet. I'm still gathering all the info at the mo. How many kegs are you after?

Hi mate, I haven't done anything about the kegs yet. If I do, I'll probably just get kegs from GE, it'll be a lot easier than trying to get a response from Hallertau. Good to support the LHBS too I guess.

How is the homebrew tasting, mate? I may be down in Welly (for real this time) SOONISH...

It all depends on my managers in Chch, and wether or not I can score a stopover in your part of town. Should be soonish! Are you keen to brew an Irish red for the WBC in 3 months? I'll take care of your goods for you...
