Okay my first attempt at a beer that is not a blonde, pils, lager, pale ale or amber to light coloured beer....

I have yet to drink a stout, however this weekend will be looking at the Kilkenny's and Guinesses to compare my stout.

Let me know what you think!

Pours thick, gluggy and dark with a 2 finger tan head which dissapates slowly leaving nice lacework. Aroma of roasted malt with hints of chocolate. Nice creamy mouthfeel which dissolves into a dry roasty finish. Went down great with my smoked chicken pizze ;o) A very good 1st attempt at a dark beer, cheers mate!
Take two:

Complex aroma of chocolate, caramel, roast, and fruit. Lingering tan head. Smooth, rich mouthfeel. Mildly roasty, chocolate finish with a touch of bitterness and wood flavours as it warms up.

I really enjoyed this. Big ups for taking the trouble to send a second bottle north. Reminded me more of a porter than a stout, but very tasty. I'd agree with some of the suggestions above - maybe a different yeast and a bit more roast, but a class act all the same.

Cheers.
