Hi folk,
I am trying to get my A into G again and do some more AG brewing (if you'll pardon the deperate puns). I would like to get some Starsan because of all it's easy to use benefits and emailed Jann at DMH. This was his reply and I wondered whether anyone has used the Brewclean product that he mentions and whether it is as good as Starsan?

"Sorry but we don't have starsan now. I have a similar product (brewclean 1 litre for $14) the difference of this product is organic one and more safe for your beer."

Brewclean eh? That wouldnt be a brewcraft product at all would it? If it is I would be inclined to try and find starsan.. Also, starsan is a sanitiser, not a cleaner, so why would a cleaner be a replacement??
I'm thinking it willl be best to stick with the Starsan that has been so warmly touted on this site. Where best to get it from?
Iodophor is also good (from Liberty IIRC), or Brewers Coop for Starsan.
Cheers for that.
Definitely stick with starsan. I bought the brewclean from local HBS to try it out..As a cleaner its fine..Looks like fairy liquid and foams up nicely BUT ( and a big BUT)...its a cleaner, not a sanitiser.

I used it to clean the fermenter etc once I'd drained the brew etc..Then used starsan before i used it again.

The 1 litre bottle lasts for about 3 uses as the dilution ration is measured in hundreds of mls per useage and not 5mls per useage etc...

Totally different product from what you need.
Cheers for that Ged - that clinches it for me.
