Oz Clarke talks about NZ beer

Great plug for Emerson's and Epic on Newstalk ZB by Oz Clarke this morning (08.15). (Mike Hosking was interviewing him about NZ wine.)

Kieran Haslett-Moore was at the Wellington pinot noir conference yesterday and had a decent chat about beer with Oz.

Not yet, but it will be. (It was only a very brief mention in between all the wine talk.)

I talked to Oz for about 15 minutes, he tasted his way through all the beers and I was impressed with his knowledge of the NZ Craft beer scene. He was already well acquainted with Emerson's Epic and Renaissance.

Hoping to meet him tonight at the Aromatic Wine Symposium in Nelson - I'll be serving Mussel Inn and Townshend beer at the event.

I got to speak to him for a good 15min+ He amde a beeline for the beer and was really pleased to get a chance to taste a kegged Capt Cooker (from Golden Bay) after trying the bottled version (Invercargill) with Kieran HM the night before.

He was very knowledgable and sincere - he also wanted to know why Emerson's 1812 had changed so much.

I'm hopeful that the NZ beer scene will get a mention once all his footage gets to screen.

Would be great to see Oz Clarke and James May do one of there tv series in NZ... wine beer or both.
