Interesting experience with Mayhem on Friday night at my work leaving drinks...

I have a lot of work mates that only drink wine or shit beer but seeing as it was my leaving do they all kinda wanted to try this ‘new fangled’ good beer that I’ve been rabbiting on about….”What should I try James?” they’d say

Now I have a theory about Mayhem, I think it belies its ‘hardcore’ name and is in fact a pretty accessible beer, loads of flavour but it isn’t tooooo bitter for the wine/tui drinking good beerphobes so I recommended it to everyone, and they loved it…all of them! They couldn’t get enough of it!

People were picking flavours and aromas they were loving it!

Anyway I think Mayhem is the perfect bridging beer (apart from the cost) for newbie’s into the good beer world….what say you me hearties?

I think you could be right.

3 of the rarest, most sought after beers in NZ consumed after the most thirst provoking mission known to man (well - lazy men anyway) a piss up, up the mountain...

...might be a cool blog!
Of and a Rogue Russ Imp Stout mate I would be rolling down the Mountain!!!
Whoah!

That was like the worst threadjack ever... Sorry Kempicus.

It's just... I get excited whenever I start thinking about those 2 bottles sitting in my fridge...
So when do I need to meet you two at the mountain? ;oP I dont have a fancy bottle of commercial beer, but I can buy some Mayhem and bring that :o)
Now we just need someone with a Helicopter!! as It would be a very drunkin stumble down!!
While we're all jacking off, I'll be drinking this next Monday...
You tried that before Stu? Looks interesting allright.. Is it like a beer cider?
No, never tried it but Sam "TheGrandmaster" brought that and the Dark version back from Aus. He made me promise I'd share them with him and he's down next Monday.

Apprently he mashes that malt with apple juice, so there is actually no water used in making the beer. He's quite a character from what I've heard (and that's a bit of a euphemism).
Hahah crazy stuff, I like the people who try different things, awesome innovation!
Stu
Sounds like you'll need to stick a bit of Blackcurrent in it and make It a snakebite!!!!!!!
Snakebites Yuck!!!!!
Isnt a snakebite just a cider and a lager? Mate of mine at work this old bloke loves them, allways goes on about them!! lol
I'm good like that. There had to be some benefits to lugging those two big bottles across the ditch.
