Is it possible to convert a US CO2 tank to work in NZ?

From what I've gathered it isn't but just want to check.

I have two of these beasts, and this is what I have come up with. You have the following choices:

1) Convert the head of the tank to an NZ/AUS unit, and then have it LAB certified. This can be over $200, and will require a different thread on your regulator.

2) Get another CO2 tank and fill the US one with this one, or get a mate to do it. This would require adapters and such. You will also need to cool the target tank to make this easier to get more CO2 in it. I do not know about the legality.

3) Ditch the US tank and get a NZ one. I hate this option, but the reality is that it is the easiest. :(

Okay thanks. It's empty already (they wouldn't let us put it in the container with gas in it). I guess I have to bite the bullet and get a new one at some point or look into converting it.

If you are near matamata?? I just gone one off this guy for 25bux. It's just in at gas pro Tauranga getting a new valve, $120 ish.
