Decided to follow my own advice, it was about time I put down a lower alcohol beer for summer.

English Ale.

Maris otter 4.5 kg
Munich 500 g
Crystal 350 g
weetbix 120 g
Rakau/green bullet 50g for 60 minutes
Nelson Sauvin 30 g for 15
nelson sauvin 20 g for 5
Tony is that for 20 litres??? Cos if it is, wouldnt that be around 1055 at least???

I dont know what you class as low alcohol ;oP lol, but I often brew beers around 3.3ish% - thats what I call a lower alcohol beer ;o)
What's your efficiency Rev? At 60% that's not too high.
My eff is generally between 74-78%

I just didnt wanna assume a higher eff in case I hurt someones feelings? ;oP
mate thats low alcohol for me :p. No seriously it will be about 22-23L. I'm calculating around 5-5.5%

After a chat with Steve and Jo on the weekend im keen to do a bit of a showcase of the Centennial hop, not too sure when im gonna fit it in tho, ive got about 6 recipes on the to do list, so id better get my shit sorted and start brewing ;o)

This will also be using up the last of my centennial ;o( Gutted!

10% Global Vienna
4% Global CaraDark (similair to caramunich II)
3% Medium Crystal


OG - 1057
IBU - 56

FWH - 18g Centennial 9.7%
20 - 25g Centennial 9.7%
10 - 25g Centennial 9.7%
5 - 25g Centennial 9.7%
Dry - 60g Centennial 9.7%

US-05 probably, which seems to be all I use lately
Brew the ruination clone bro :-D I'm pretty sure that's all Cent.
The recipe on the craftbrewer website says it is, but Jo reckons otherwise?? He was saying Centennial and Columbus??
Oh yeah, could be, maybe it's their IPA that's all cent. Can't remember now haha.

0.42 lbs Dextrose
0.21 lbs CaraPils Malt

28 AAU Magnum 60 min
15.7 AAU Centennial 0 min
21 AAU Centennial dry hop

White Labs WLP001 California Ale or
Wyeast 1056 American Ale

Mash @ 149 for 60 min
Boil for 90 min
Let steep for 15 min before cooling
