Some SS vessels for conversion to HLT's or kettles? Seem to be about 80 litre capacity for the smaller ones, 120 litre for the larger one.

They look a good price, but maybe thin and have non-composite bottoms.
Looking, at first to replace my plastic fermenters and prefer to be able to get my arm in for cleaning (hence not glass carboys)

You'd get your arm (and shoulder) in alright !

Would you add a tap at the bottom or would that be inviting trouble ?

As a fermenter, I don't think the composite bottom (or lack of) would matter ?

I bought one. They're cheaply made and thin - I'm expecting the handles to fall off at any stage. I use mine for hot liquor tank and it seems fine. Would I recommend one? Yeah, I guess if you were on a tight budget.Would I buy one again? Don't think so.

Composite bottoms aren't necessary. Thin is good, easier to drill, and it's not like your burner is gonna burn a hole in the bottom.

It was more a question of the bottom dropping off because the weld was so crap! :)
