Check out Denny Conns Rye IPA - everyone in the States goes on about it.
Yeah ive got that recipe, cheers, but im gonna have to go with something different due to hop availability...
Craftbrewer that shit y0!
lol, would love to mate, but the mrs dont go back to work till mid march :oP

And, funnily enough, Craftbrewer didnt even have Mt Hood :o(
Do a Roggenbier. The style will give a great indication of rye malt in a beer.
Was thinking of that as well, but then I hate wheat beers, which is basically what a Roggenbier is :o( Maybe ill do it and just hop it up a bit more than normal?

Edit : Actually reading that recipe now its mainly Pils and Rye, this changes everything :o)
You dont have to use a weizen strain... Maybe 1496? That would be fun.
Whats acidulated malt? Can I sub it with anything? Or just not use it?
Yeah sub it with 5.2
5.2? That PH stuff craftbrewer sells?
Yeah or leave it out alltogether.

Actually order some 5.2, it's the shit. And order the mt hood and columbus while you're there and do the RyePA :-P
Yeah. RyePA sounds like an awesome idea.

Acidulated malt aids in adjusting the ph of your mash. You don't need to use it in this recipe. It can be subbed with more lager malt. So can the wheat for that matter. I reckon that recipe would be kick ass with just the lager strain. Nice and tart. I reckon it'll be like Moa wheat on steroids!
