Hop rhizomes

(Hopefully I didn't miss a thread here, I searched first!)
Just wanted to see if anyone has rhizomes available this year? I hear there is a shortage, however if there are any suppliers anyone knows of I would be keen to given them a go!

Maybe we can get a list of suppliers going? I see in the old forum that Stephen @ Hallertau may have been one of them, any ideas?

Yeah my Danscade is all coned up and Mystery German has heaps of burrs
nothing on the Smoothcone though!
Also my one of my Chriscades has turned out to be a man bugger it!
might have to be a firey grave for that one.

Don't worry Rev. For $5 we can probably get more cascade then any of these guys anyway. I wonder what their hourly rate for hop watering is...

I employed child labour to water my hops, it's great having kids that want to do things for you all the time, payment in hugs.

How many are you likely to use in a brew?

Hey Tony, I'll probably go with NZHops range of 6~8% but on the lower side. I plan too a double batch, one with commercial and one with Danscade to see if there is a difference. From memory the last time I did a comparison between pellets and cones the pellets were stronger, if that sounds right!

Actually this season I've been pretty neglecting of my hops. Have only watered once a week and only for about 30 minutes total over four plants. Smaller crop than previous year when I gave it more care but still doing well considering the above. I reckon I'll get at least 500g dried from my plants.

Maybe you guys should look at your soil and amount of light they get? Pretty sure you can get those soil testing kits for about 10 bucks at mitre10.

10 bucks! I think I'd rather have $10 worth of pellets.
