I have tried Mai and Kiva, my mate brought me back a 6 pack - he said the brewers were very passionate about their job which is good!

The pale ale was average as IMO, but the lager was quite nice, it had a firm hop bitterness and was really drinkable! Im sure it would go down a treat in their weather!

I was in the Cook Islands last September and tried the lager a few times (it was the only one I could find). It had obviously been fermented too warm, but if you iced it down, it was refreshing enough. Good attempt, though, at brewing in what I understand is a pretty basic set up in a bloody warm environment.

Interesting Nolen, from the lager I tried they must have got ahold on their fermentation temps as it was clean as! Good on them :o)

I did actually enjoy it and will say that it was FAR superior to the other local beer I tried - I think it was called Cook Island Lager or something like that. Man... it was rank! Yeasty, cloudy, bubblegum, banana... whew.
